CBH+DEFLECT extends the merchant’s reach into disputes at the point of cardholder inquiry. When a cardholder checks their online statement and does not recognize your transaction by your descriptor, DEFLECT provides the additional information they need to recognize the transaction, including deeper product descriptions, purchasing device ID and IP, delivery confirmations and more.
Issuers can also request this information to prevent friendly fraud. When the cardholder tries to initiate an illegitimate chargeback, the issuer sees the information that ties the cardholder to their purchase, deflecting the dispute.
